Let’s be clear: African kingdoms were knee-deep in the slave trade, selling their own people for profit. King Ghezo of Dahomey even begged Britain not to abolish it. Yet now, we’re told modern Britons, who abolished slavery, who fought and died to end it worldwide must foot the bill? Reparations are a shakedown, not justice. Britain owes nothing.
